Max smirked and pulled her 2040 style cellphone out of her pocket. It didn't work here, not in the conventional ways at least, but that was fine by her. She took the jacket out of Terry's lap, flipped the cellphone open, hit a few buttons, and started slowly running the device over the fabric as if scanning it.
"Doesn't matter where they bugged you now, it's definitely not working after this," Max declared. As soon as she was done she handed the coat back. "This thing is awesome. I realised to does the weirdest things to these ancient signals so I rewired it a little and ta da! The teacher's lounge has a swipe card lock system, but they also have the only diet coke vending machine on campus, so I tested it there. Totally worked and I got my Coke."
She grinned innocently at Terry. Breaking into the teacher's lounge wasn't exactly a criminal offense. "You promised me chillifries. You ready to go?"
