Serra was a little intimidated by the drink in the tall glass, though she tried not to let it show. She had read not to order a "glass", as that was only a half-pint. Serra was on an alien world, but she still had her pride. No way was she going to be a wimp about it; if she was trying something new, she was going to go all the way.
She was surprised when someone intervened on her behalf, paying the bartender before she could get a chance to pay for the drink. The woman next to her, grinning wildly while holding her glass raised.
Serra didn't understand the language, but she nodded politely regardless. She had some money she had borrowed from someone at the Welcome Center, so she could pay for her own drinks and get around. But she wasn't going to turn down a free drink, even if it was from a stranger.
"Thanks!" Serra smiled uncertainly, and raised her glass upwards in a toast. And then she downed her first taste of the beverage, tipping back her head in conjunction with the glass. No dainty sips here. She downed a significant amount, before setting down her glass, her eyes widened in slight shock.
"Wow," she remarked strongly, in awe. That was...that was good. There was something about the ingredients that made the drink...divine. It was unlike any she'd had before, and it was delicious. She had drank ales before, and she could drink almost anyone under the table on Coruscant, if she needed to. It wasn't something she did often, just a talent she'd developed, but outside of that, she didn't taste beers often. Anakin was always drinking beers whenever he had the chance (which wasn't often), and she didn't understand the appeal of it, with all these more sophisticated beverages to choose from. They supposed it was just his Tatooine upbringing, and going for the familiar things the people around him were accustomed to when he was a child. But if this was what he experienced when he drank these style of beverages, it was no wonder he liked them so much. But this was better than any beer she had tasted before.
She took another taste, and it was still as delicious as before. Within a few drinks, the beverage was all gone. Serra was amazed at how delicious it had been. Alcoholic beverages were an acquired taste, but if this was the quality of the beverages here, she was glad she had acquired this taste. Immediately, Serra knew what she needed to do.
"Another one, please," she ordered, and this time she threw down the bills before the woman could get her say, not wanting to feel bad at the woman paying for another of her drinks.
