Sam & Ruby/Claire - distracting Alastair.
She might have been bent on distracting him from Sam, but it wasn't what the Winchester wanted. He was far more fascinated with the idea of being able to rip into the demon that had laid it's filthy hands on his family. Alastair was stronger. Fine. He was aware of that. But that was what they did. They fought things that were ten times stronger than they would ever be and walked out alive. It was what he was here for. He wouldn't be able to kill the bastard, but he still wanted to hurt him. That would be good enough until Dean gave him the jump.
"I've got a proper greeting for you," Sam shot back, brushing against Ruby's shoulder as he daringly - and perhaps even foolishly - stepped his way closer to the demon. He held his arms out, very much similar to the manner in which Alastair had done himself. "Why don't you come and get it?"
He didn't need to address anything else that was said. It wasn't surprising. The demons always aimed for his connection with Ruby and what it was that they did together. If anything Alastair said about them bothered him, Sam didn't let it show. He couldn't afford that.
