Heather nodded. "Okay. Then we'll just have to wait it out." If anybody else woke up in the house, she would just explain the situation as delicately as Tonks wanted. She was rarely disturbed when she woke up in the middle of the night, though, so she didn't think that would be a problem.
"We can make do with whatever's here," she said softly, watching Cian as he fussed and make an array of different sounds. Heather was incredibly attentive to the way Tonks was comforting her child, wondering if she would be able to calm down her own when it wasn't happy. "Anything you need, we can find a replacement."
With a frown, Heather heard Tonks' next words and felt like she could relate more than she'd ever wished to. "Yeah. I know what you mean," she replied, her voice barely audible. She glanced down at herself for a moment before meeting the other woman's gaze again. "But he didn't know, right? He thought the Pits were still working. If he'd known, I'm sure he would've taken every precaution."
