"Aye, around the hotel," Tonks admitted, wincing as she thought about it. "I didn't have much time, but I got warnings out to Hermione and Scorpius." I hope, she added silently. Everyone knew that you had to be calm and focused to get a patronus out properly and she'd been anything but.
"He's probably gotten out of the flat by now. He was on his way to breaking down the door by the time we managed to get out. Normally you can't aparate in or out of the Weir... sort of like Hogwarts, and I had to break down the spells before we could move in or out and I didn't have time to put up any of the normal spells so--" Tonks stopped, realising that she was simply running her mouth on and on and completely at the mercy of her own nervousness.
She took a deep breath before trying to speak again. "I'm alright, so's Cian, but it was too close. It's the one thing Remus has always been terrified of." And after this, Tonks knew the fear would return and grow tenfold.
"It was those Pits... we had one normal full moon and now-- he didn't even show any of the usual symptoms. He was fine." Tonks rubbed her fingers across her son's cheek. "Then the moon rose."
