He nodded his head. He could probably understand those reasons. Kind of like the reasons someone might try to take down an insurance firm when an old case involving his son might be a factor. He knew all about reasons that make normally black and white lines easy to appear gray. To be honest, he liked those lines.
“Well…” His smile turned more into a smirk as he looked up at Lindsey. “How about the kind of complicated that says I have a guy on my team who could be your twin.” He might have been smirking, but his eyes were deadly serious. “The guy could be a clone. He looks like you, talks like you… The kind of complicated that pulls you two years into the past?” He sat up, pulling his feet down from the desk. Rolling the chair closer, he leaned on the desk on his elbows.
“Annoyance and setting back. It’s a good start.” He started to laugh. “If nothing else, it will keep me entertained. I get bored easy.” He looked around the room, before sliding the paper back to Lindsey. “Tell your man that this office is taken. I want it.”
