Dana relished those few moments and felt fully comforted from the embrace. It told her that everything was going to be all right, now that he was here. Everything was going to work out because Terry was going to make it.
"I guess I am now." Dana looked up and actually saw his face for the first time. He looked so tired and worn, it was damn near heartbreaking. With a furrowed brow and a slight purse of her lips, Dana brushed the hair away from his eyes in an attempt to ease the worry and fatigue out of his face.
"But how about you, Terry? You look-" Awful wasn't the word she wanted to use, but it was the one that was on the tip of her tongue. There was a slight pause before she found a substitute and simply said, "tired."
