He shrugged his shoulders “It doesn’t really bother me anymore…besides it doesn’t matter anymore he’s dead now” he said dismissively as he didn’t want to go into the fact he had been the one to killed him. That kind of knowledge was damaging to a budding acquaintance and he didn’t want to scare her away. Jared couldn’t help smiling very faintly at her reaction of compassion. ‘She really is quite pretty’ he thought, a thought that made him flush a little and shift on his feet somewhat nervously.
“Oh…I’m sorry …yes! Marie” He felt suddenly very flustered at his mistake, again feeling the virus trying to rear its head. To calm himself he started a mantra silently in his mind, chewing on his bottom lip a little which unintentionally displayed the scar that vertically sliced down the middle of his lip and chin. His bright blue eyes studied the milky white streaks when she touched one “Really?” he asked with an arched brow. “I’m afraid I don’t have any….hair I mean…” Jared felt comfortable enough to lower his hood to show her that he was in fact hairless he didn’t even have eyebrows.
