And she hadn't. She was just finding a way to break the ice, so to speak.
Rogue didn't make a habit out of talking to strangers, but since he was the only person (that she'd seen) in the park, she figured she could try to be a little sociable.
"Never? In your whole life?" Rogue said in her usual Southern drawl, looking and sounding mildly surprised, and even slightly disbelieving. Maybe he had the type of parents who tried to shelter their children from everything in the world, even if that meant depriving of them of their childhood.
She tensed slightly when he made to stand up, but she stood her ground. He didn't appear to be very threatening, but appearances could be deceiving. And being a newcomer to this place, she knew it'd be best to stay on her toes.
"Marie," was her simple introduction. She would've offered to shake his hand, but judging by how he stuffed his hands in his pockets, he seemed to be wary of touching people as much as she way. Though she was fairly certain it was for different reasons than her own.
