She was cleaning. That's how bored the younger Claire Bennet was, she had actually found herself cleaning, voluntarily. She was sweeping up around the lobby listening to music as she worked. She hadn't seen SBC in what seemed like ages and truth be told Claire missed her. She was still at the Winchesters, she'd been there for what seemed like forever, Peter was the Champion, and while she knew she could talk to him, she felt sometimes like she'd be interrupting when he had more important stuff on, not to mention he was still newly married, the reason she didn't bother Sarah with her boredom, and both Nathan and her Dad had better things to deal with she was sure than a bored daughter. And truth be told she hadn't made many friends. She had retreated a little after Sylar. Just wanted to focus on becoming an Agent, stopping him and those dangerous like him. But she'd wound up here, were there was no Company. Instead AI and another war to fight, and Claire did, she did her part with her healing blood and she was training. But there was still so much she didn'r know. SBC and her father and Peter and Niki and Hiro, they were from a different time, Nathan was the man she remembered but they were only really forming their relationship here as father and daughter, he wasn't her Dad like Noah Bennet was, but she'd been getting to know Meridith and Nathan deserved the same chance. And so far she had only good to say for him.
She finished the sweeping, lost in her thoughts and was on her way to put the brush back and get something to collect the dirt when she noticed it. A splinter. A very large splinter that she should have noticed.
So that was that.
People from the Pits had been loosing what it had gained them, and Claire had accepted it as fate having cried into her pillow one night for returning to the result of what Sylar had done to her. But she'd thought at the very least she'd have felt it go, she supposed she hadn't been hurt in a while. Hard to do inside the hotel really.
She pulled out the splinter and walked calmly to the kitchen finding the kettle she had boiled to clean the floor having picked up the dirt and after carrying it calmly to the sink proceeded to pour it across her hand watching it turn red and scarred but without a single moments feeling of pain to go along with it.
Great. Just great.
The entire kettle was used as Claire stood watching her hand as the water poured over it knowing it wouldn't ever hurt, and knowing it would heal.
