group one – magic users
Looking up, Sarah gave Alessa a tight smile and then nodded, moving toward the building. She used the night to stay in the shadows, to make seeing them harder to avoid being shot at to stop chanting, moving close to a corner of the building – not a weak spot so much as just the least powerful area in the magic blanket surrounding the building.
Having been prepped on the various incantations that would be useful in taking down these barriers, based in the magic and rituals of this worlds, as well as being ready with a few of her own incantations should the need arise after being cautioned that improvisation might be necessary, Sarah felt ready to begin and, after a quick check of her watch, began to chant what she had been taught. Mixing magics wasn't always something to do, but the magic users had been matched up because of their familiarity with each other, so Sarah felt relatively confident that she and Alessa would be fine.
That confidence waned a bit as Sarah felt her own magic pummel, but not crack, the area she was focusing on, then slide further still when digging deeper didn't seem to be working quickly enough.
"I don't think we're making as big a dent as we should be," she said, eyes not leaving the building even as she stepped closer to Alessa so the other woman could hear her.
