group one - fighters (as the barriers come down)
He threw himself backwards to avoid the sword swipe of one of the human minions but the weapon still caught fabric, tearing as the tip of the sword managed to graze skin. The minion overextended, Lindsey grabbed his wrist with the right and hit with his left, and as the man went down, took the sword from him. No weapon, no problem. He swung it once, testing the weight of the sword. That he could do some real damage with.
"Everyone wants bragging rights to a kill count," he stated conversationally as he eyed the approaching demons. The fear and apprehension of earlier had long faded under the crash of adrenaline to his system, the attention to the fight. As the first demon reached him, Lindsey took a step forward, left shoulder lowering for a moment before he brought the sword up in a slashing arc, an inhuman scream following soon after. He moved forward with the momentum.
It was a warning to the rest. This group of demons wouldn't go down easily and they had to step up their game if they wanted to live. The next one caught his swing with it's arm and forced him to duck under a swing of it's own. Putting a little extra strength behind it, he pulled the sword loose and ducked down under another attempted blow and swung the sword at the demon's knees. He pitched forward and Lindsey rolled out of the way, coming back up on his feet and lunging back into the fight.
