group one - fighters (as the barriers come down)
Solidus arrived at the discussed location. He had brought everything he had. The tentacles were attached to the suit, directly linked into his nervous system for maximum control. The P-90 firearm he carried was attached to the suit, along with nearly half the ammo he had, and his blades.
He recognized several of the people from the board, while others were complete strangers. There was Jacen, which Solidus pointedly ignored. He had the feeling the other man was a no-nonsense type of fighter like himself, in situations like this. He recognized the eye patched man from the board, Xander Harris, causing him to restrain a small smirk. It seemed ironic they were both on the same team. He recognized the machines - terminators, they called them. He supposed he should have been in awe of how advanced they were, but after seeing what became of Gray Fox, or Frank Jaeger rather, he wasn't that surprised. Humans could build anything given enough technology, even to their own detriment sometimes. His own suit and the Patriots' weapon Arsenal Gear were proof of that.
He watched as the magic users did their thing, trying to break through the barriers protecting the place. He wasn't familiar with the supernatural. The closest were the things he'd heard about Vulcan Raven from soldiers in the Next Generation squad, and that was more like psychic ability and spiritual insight than any real magic. And of course, Fortune's bizarre turn of luck. Psychics were used by various paramilitary forces around the world, but the jury was still out on what those powers actually were, at least on his world. And he had read plenty of files on other abilities, but that was not the same as seeing it in person. He just hoped they knew what they were doing.
When the barriers finally went down, Solidus drew his swords. Minshuto and Kyowato - Democracy and Republic, twin blades in their purpose. They had served him well over the years. And now it seemed they were going to see action their creators hadn't even imagined when they forged the blades.
The first attackers who came were human. Solidus sheathed his blades temporarily. A well-placed blow or two, and they quickly fell to the ground, unconscious but quite alive. CQC users were trained to disable enemies quickly without killing them on his world - a quick punch, or a slam against the ground - and he would have been able to deal with them even without the strength of his power suit. His movements weren't graceful like Liquid's had been, on his world, or like the vigilante Batgirl's, who was with them (and boy was that an interesting, if pleasant surprise). But they were effective, and these were hardly worthy opponents for the wide array of CQC maneuvers.
He looked to his left to see Jacen tell a group of humans a verbal command, and send them falling down to the floor, asleep. He hpmhed quietly to himself in approval. Mind control. That was Psycho Mantis' domain, and the domain of this man as well apparently, which made sense given his background. Though Mantis would have made the people shoot themselves if they had been carrying firearms, or some other brutal means of disposing of them.
