She paused again.
"He wanted to make sure there would be people who would protect the rest of humanity again his old friend's attacks," Jean said. "You see, Erik Lehnsherr didn't think it would be possibly for humans and mutants to co-exist."
While she understood why Magneto hated humanity, she didn't think he had the right to punish them. Humans had to be protected, even if most of them hated those who were carriers of the 'X-Gene.'
