"Oh!" he replied, his surprise evident in his voice. "I thought you were asleep. Sorry for looming around in the doorway."
Tony walked into the room, looking around. He hadn't taken much time to observe the living arrangements of the others here. He had been holed up, working. It was easy to loose track of time when one had an area all their own. He had a tendency to get so into his books and research that he forgot that there were other people here. Maybe that was the point of throwing himself into his profession- to forget.
However, he would have been lying to himself if he had said he didn't miss the company that the small hotel room had afforded him. Tony had been forced to be a people person and found that it was nice not to be all alone.
Tony couldn't help noticing her expression and he tilted his head to the side, a look of concern starting to form on his own face. "How are you?" he asked, managing to find a stool to perch himself on near her cot.
