The theater was strangely quiet. Usually, Tony would have heard the ramblings of Shawn about the virtues of pineapple and Creegan telling him to shut up and help with the chores. It seemed as though the doctor had the whole place to himself.
He glanced into the room that Jean had claimed as her own and was surprised to see her in there, resting. Tony paused there a moment but he didn't want to disturb her- she had been working so hard the last few weeks as they cleaned the theater. She was entitled to some rest.
Tony wondered sometimes about the life she had had before arriving here. He knew she was a mutant and he had the feeling her past was a sad one. Aside from those two things he didn't know what to make of her. He had purposely avoided trying to analyze her because he didn't want to be the person he had been told he was- someone who never had any meaningful relationships because he looked at everyone as a specimen to be studied.
