It would possibly infuriate Sam more than anything that all Ruby did was smile coldly at him when he told her he didn't care about her.
"Who are you talking to Sam. There isn't a lie you can tell me that I wont see right through. You can't lie to a liar. Not one like me. You do care, more than your family would probobly like."
She grabbed his chin meeting his gaze with hers, eyes still black. He still didn't get it.
"You want to hurt, you just gotta ask me. I'm straight from hell remember. Things I know, things I can do...and still...you ask me and I'd kill for you, you ask me and I'll even hurt you"
It might have been easier if she loved him, maybe then she could have talked him down, but she didn't. Not in that way anyway. Her relationship to Sam Winchester was more complicated than even she could explain.
She stepped back and punched him in the gut hard enough to wind him.
