At the second punch Ruby had seen enough, she was fine with this guilt stuff, she was fine with him having a need for pain, maybe he thought it was cleansing or something she didn't know. But this was Sam. This was Sam and he didn't deserve some skanky little vampire she had gotten him to vent at to lay a hand on him. Not with what he would be someday.
He was better than that.
For once, with the height advantage on Sam Ruby grabbed him by the hair turning him toward her, the last punch had been better aimed. The vampire for her pains got a sharp kick to the gut and was currently doubled over in pain.
"You want to hurt huh? Fine. But not her, not some vampire I pulled off the streets. She's not worth you. Not at all. Look at me Sam" she glared, allowing her eyes to cloud over black.
