Ruby let him work until he needed her help, he needed this, both for furthering his abilities and just cause he needed to vent, needed to let out his frustration on things that deserved it. She watched him as she always did with a strange mix of critique and pride. A lot of pride. He was getting there, rusty of course from the weeks without his abilities but most definitely getting there.
The stake was in her hand ready when he needed her but for now she was content he was handling it well on his own. Focusing like she'd taught him, doing everything right, just the way she'd taught him.
