Yeah, Sam really didn't want to try and figure out where those hands of hers would end up either. Wrinkling his nose, he held out both hands and shook his head. "No thanks. I'll just stick with the general appreciation of being able to have a place to stay for the night. Figured that Heather would need the extra space, so I kind of --" He shook his head again. "-- forget it. Thanks, Ruby. The shelter is good enough."
That aside, they were back on the business route again. Ruby sure wasn't hesitating as far as getting back on the game went, now was she? With Alastair around, he guessed she really didn't have any reason not to. He was angry, sort of. Sam had stormed out of the house and everything. He supposed going out and taking down a few vamps in order to calm himself down wouldn't be so horrible. It usually worked pretty damn well when Ruby was around anyway.
"Yeah," he said quietly, "I guess we can do that."
