WHO: Buffy Summers and Peter Petrelli. WHAT: Coffee. WHEN: 9:00AM. WHERE: A random cafe. RATING: TBD. STATUS: Incomplete.
Buffy didn't really know why she'd agreed to this. While she wasn't angry with Peter anymore, just hurt by the things that had gone on, she still didn't feel comfortable meeting with him for such a casual thing like coffee. Wouldn't there be way too much tension for them both to enjoy themselves? And if there wasn't tension because of Peter and Buffy personally, there surely would be due to the things Kennedy and Faith and a few others were managing to pull. Buffy shouldn't have cared about what people said about her just as long as she knew she was doing her job even if she wasn't within the walls of the Hyperion. They were Slayers, though. They had authority, they had leadership. It wasn't like what Cordelia had done back in high school, no matter what Xander said.
All the same, Buffy made her way to the address Peter had given her, after having spent the night in another dingy motel. She'd been moving from place to place throughout the city, never staying in the same area for more than a night, while taking out vampire nests and trying to find out some way to combat the psycho vamps other than what Peter had already done. They still needed the Scythe, after all, and it was top priority to get it back.
Entering the cafe, Buffy's eyes panned it's interior until she spotted Peter sitting at a table. She gave him a small smile that never really reached her eyes as she approached him.
