Babs glanced over at Cass, considering the request for a moment before nodding her head. "Go ahead, hon." There was little reason to refuse.
"There's not much being done, unfortunately. This isn't Gotham, and the criminal underworld here doesn't just start spilling secrets as soon as they see Batman's shadow against the wall. The Joker's holed up somewhere, and wherever it is, he's holed up well. Trying to bait him out hasn't worked," she explained to Helena. Her coffee was cold now, and she wrinkled her nose after trying to take a sip. She could feel an urge for more coming on.
"With Talia," Babs lips turned into a distinct frown. "There was pretty much no way to stop people from using the Pits once she offered. Even those I did warn and tell to spread the news... I'm pretty sure some of them still went. Of course now her intentions are turning, like I thought they would, and it'll be up to us to deal with it. Pre-emptively. I don't think her army is really here, no matter how much she bluffs, but it's not a risk we should take. The Pits are gone now, so it's just the woman left to deal with. She's good, but one against three isn't going to play in her favor."
She looked over at Terry. "That's the Talia I know as well... to some extent. This Talia is from our Earth, I think, but it's obvious she's not broken away from her father's belief system yet. That she didn't immediately burn the city is evidence that it's happening, but she's not completely at that point yet. She still thinks Bruce is going to rule the world with her, which is probably what Ra's has promised." And as far as Babs was concerned, Ra's simply hadn't known his former student that well if he'd really assumed that would happen.
"I'll talk to Bruce tonight. See what he wants to do. Technically it's not my decision." She was the mother of his son, after all. "One of you will more than likely have to accompany him."
