Babs passed Terry what was meant to be a semi-reassuring look. They'd been hard on him lately, she was perfectly aware but it was for his own good. They would talk training details later.
She turned back to Helena. "Knowing how to fight vampires is a necessity here. One that either Cass or Terry can fill you in on once you're settled," she said. "But I like to think we fill another void here. Just because the city is overrun by the supernatural doesn't mean the human evil's taken a back seat. There's a lot for us to do outside the supernatural. I try and communicate with the Hyperion if something comes up, but even then, we're not very cohesive." Both a good and bad thing. Babs was waiting to see how it played out with their Talia situation.
"It's a hell of a lot to take in," Babs said after a moment, noting the look on her friend's face. "And I wish I could said we've got time to let it all settle, but we have the Joker on the lose and I'm ninety-nine percent sure that Talia's about to try and burn down the city to show her loyalty to her father. Time's abandoned us."
