Babs couldn't have agreed more, but she knew Batman stepping up wasn't going to happen overnight. He'd been wary enough of the JLA back home at times, and here, not truly knowing any of them it would be harder to convince him to grab the job.
She knew that she could do it. If it came down to it she would calm down and try again, but she didn't want to and that would be a deterrent from the job she did as a leader. She didn't like to think of the chair as that much of a handicap, but in this case... well, running a group from her clocktower of three women she knew intimately was different than running a giant group of super powered individuals. She didn't have that presense Bruce had. She hadn't had it when she'd been Batgirl, but she'd at least been able to lurk in shadows and tower over people.
Sighing, she lifted her mug back to her lips for a moment. "We're going to try the JLA thing one more time," she explained to Helena. "After that, Cass is right. We go back to basics. Doing what we do best, saving people. No powers, no gimmicks, no BS. Hard work and," Babs looked over her shoulder at Terry as he entered the room. A small grin passed over her lips. "Training." His timing was perfect.
"Terry, this is Helena Bertinelli, also known as Huntress. She's a good friend of mine, like a sister." Which implied that being nice was a good thing in this case. Helena was anything but a threat to their odd little family. "Helena, this is Terry McGinnis. Batman, wearing Nightwing's threads for now."
