It still felt like he was doing this out of pity, and it upset her. She quickly pulled away from him, and glared. "So why are you only doing this after I show disappointment?" She gave him a scoff, "Yeah, you don't have to do anything, but you do it because you don't want to feel bad."
She could feel tears starting to form, but she held them at bay. "I'd better go now." and before the other one could protest, Alessa had disappeared.
She reappeared back inside of the lobby, made sure to check back in, and made her way to her bedroom. Once inside she took off her shoes, placed them next to her bed; took off her socks, and placed those inside of her shoes. Finally she crawled underneath the covers; willed the lights to turn off; and rested her head against the pillow.
