Softly shaking her head she smiled at him. No one had ever watched over her as carefully as he does. She was certain there was not a single movement that he ever missed. "I could not possibly be better."
Reaching the boat she carefully climbed from the small vessel to the much larger one. So many things were going through her head as she waited for him to join her. Would he freak out? Run? Panic? Was it too soon? Her heart had yet to stop racing, her breath still quick and short. Perhaps once it slowed down and she relaxed, something she had not done for weeks, he would figure it out.
He was her husband, her true love and confidant, but she was scared to death to proclaim her secret. A secret she barely believed herself.
It was not seasickness that was getting to her. It was the tight confines of her dress pressing against the child that only started to grow eight weeks ago. Selene smiled softly to herself as her hand caressed the flat plane. "I really need out of this dress." She mumbled.
