"It would be disgusting," Sarah said, in the patient teacher-tones that she often used with the smaller kids in explaining things, or just reassuring them, "but everyone thought that's what he did, and it's entirely his own fault they did think it."
Her own opinion of Sylar wasn't so fierce because she had never been personally hurt or harassed by the monster that Gabriel had once been in danger of becoming, but it didn't mean she wasn't without strong feelings about all he'd done. It just meant she could talk without wanting to spit nails at hearing the name.
"Try to keep the testing to small stuff like this, all right?" she said, tapping the younger girl's palm before leading her out of the dressing room into the bedroom where Nathan was.
Given that Claire was reasonably calm right now, Sarah decided it might be a good idea to get some food into her before she either decided to refuse to eat or chucked it against a wall as entertainment. At least it wouldn't be the first time this castle had seen such actions.
"I think we could all do with some lunch," she said, guiding Claire over to Nathan. "I'll go see to that – they're still learning." Patting Nathan's arm, then touching Claire's shoulder, Sarah moved out of the bedroom into the castle, leaving father and daughter to face what was next together.
