Once they'd all come to a stop behind one of the tents, Sarah reached out and touched both of them, the contact not necessary to move place to place, but she thought perhaps it would be less disorienting to Claire right now. And then, without bumps or lurches or any outward sign of something going on besides the scenery seeming to morph seamlessly, they went from outside behind the tent to a room with stone walls, heavy wood furniture and plush decorations, a larger room beyond with the corner of a bed visible through one arched doorway and a bathroom visible through the doorway opposite that one.
"Your clothes are right there, Claire," she said, gesturing to one of the tall armoires in the room – by appearances, part closet and part dressing room – that currently had its doors partially opened.
"Do you need any help?" Sarah would if the girl was less clearheaded, rather than mostly coherent – after shooing Nathan to the next room, of course.
