Complicated wasn't even the half of this, and he was trying really hard not to bumble over himself. He meant well. He did, but sometimes the stuff that came out of his mind didn't sound the same as he thought that it might. But whatever awkwardness might be transmitted in his speech or his manner, it didn't make him any less sincere in his actions. He cared. He cared, and he wanted to do whatever he could to make the rough situations that were being encountered by the people who put themselves at risk everyday to keep the others safe more bearable. Something like getting cookies and spending time with Faith were probably very small in the realm of world changing actions, but it was what he was capable of. It was what he knew that he could do aside from fiddle with a bunch of gadgets and gizmos that never seemed to do any good when the other side was outstripping them with magic and mysticism. He wished there was more that he could do, but right now, he would settle for this.
"Knock, knock," Gabriel said as he balanced the plate and glasses that he'd been carrying in one hand long enough to turn the doorknob, switching back to two before everything took a tumble for the floor, before nudging the door open as he backed into the room. "I come bearing the food of the gods," He said, offering Faith a soft, playful smile as he set the two glasses of milk down on the bedside table, plucking the plate of cookies from where it had been balanced on top of the glasses and held it out to her. "Either that or a sugar coma waiting to happen. Probably both."
