Claire was relieved Xander had extraced some weapon, and by the looks of it, he was acutely aware of how to use it. Watching the one fanged baddie go up in dust, she almost let out a whoop, but the other two had quickly closed in on them.
Hearing his demand to run, she rolled her eyes and fiercely shook her head. "You don't know me that well, Xander. I'll heard 'em, you stab 'em." She didn't have enough time to argue, so she led the one vampire in his Xander's direction, having nothing on her to stake him with. He lunged for her and successfully tackled her to the ground. The force sent them skidding back and having hit cement, it caused her skin to burn, tearing at the flesh and, unfortunately, drawing blood. Unfortunate in that it sent the vampire into a frenzy and she feared that she wouldn't be able to hold the jerk off long enough for Xander to finish one or the other.
By the time the vampire was lashing it's teeth at her, her gravel wounds had already healed, though leaving evidence that it had happened by staining her clothes. Perhaps it was a good thing (or a coincidental one), that LA wasn't the cleanest city, because miraculously, a piece of a car's bumper was lying withing arm's reach. Frantically grabbing for it, Claire jabbed the sharper of ends into the vampire's chest, only knowing she had hit her mark when she felt the list dust snow down on her.
