She definitely preferred this to the lecturing or disapproving stare she would have received from anybody else. Xander could be concerned without pushing the issue, and she liked that about him. Always had.
"Alright, alright, I can't argue with that," she said, giving him a smile.
As soon as she'd pulled away the wires and such from her body, Buffy had no other reason to stick around. She was still wearing her street clothes, and she'd probably lost her weaponry on the trip in the ambulance, so she didn't have any of that to take with her. Not that it mattered, it was just a stake, knife, and bottle of holy water anyway. Nothing that couldn't be replaced.
"Come on, let's get the hell out of here," she said, following Xander towards the door.
