She just watched him for a moment, continuing with her meal. Her shoulders raised and fell in a shrug. Truthfully, she didn't know how it happened. Her knowledge on magic wasn't all that great. Kara hated not having the sun, but she had stopped freaking out over it long ago, because it would not do her any good. She didn't catch the Simpson's reference, and had no idea who Mister Burns was, she didn't know the cartoon, past hearing a few people mention the title once or twice. "I don't know how it happened. But it has, and there are people trying to figure out how to make it come back." and that would be a good day for her. She did, after all, rely on sunlight.
She just arched her eyebrows and nodded her head. The sun was gone. That was what she had said, wasn't it? He was shocked, she knew that much. She didn't know why he had to repeat her though. She watched him sit at the end of another table, still picking away at her fries, blue eyes cautious of what he might do next. Some people just didn't react will in situations like this.
He needed help, she could maybe help. She could do all kinds of things, maybe she could help him and may she couldn't. She took a sip of the coke that had been placed in front of her with her food, and then nodded her head when he trailed off. "Maybe." he might be allowed at the Hyperion, if he had no where to go. She didn't see why not. As far as she knew, there were people who lived there and didn't go out killing demons all the time. "The place where I work is located in a hotel. They have empty rooms, my boss might let you stay." Angel wasn't there, but Cordy was, so she might let him stay if there was no where else to go.
"Other than that, I can't really think of anywhere that would be cheap." apartments and other hotels that may still be open were the only thing she could think of. All in all, not that easy to afford when you lived in LA. She wouldn't mind bringing him there to find out. She needed to head back to get some sleep anyway, before she got up again to go stake some vampires.
She returned to her food, eating a little fast now, but speaking in between bites. "I'm heading back there as soon as I'm done this. You can come if you want." she said with another shrug. It was totally up to him. That was all she could really offer him. The Hotel was where she lived, and she didn't really have anywhere else to point out that might be cheap. It was a good place to be, and it was probably one of the safest. Many of the people living there knew how to fight off demons and other kinds of monsters that were lurking everywhere.
