She looked thoroughly unhappy about all of this. Miserable, in fact. She could've argued the point until she was blue in the face, and she probably would have, but that last sentence about respecting him and the baby shut her right up. She still didn't like it, though, and she was still convinced that some fancy doctor was going to do anything to 'help' her. She didn't need help. She was fine. Well, maybe not fine, but she definitely didn't need a shrink.
She swallowed hard and bit down on the inside of her cheek for a few moments, remaining silent for a long while. It almost seemed as if she was refusing to speak anymore, until she finally gave a near-whispering, "I'll start looking in the morning."
