He shook his head. "Compensation is one thing, but it doesn't change the fact that the original thought is still there, now does it?" He gripped his hands together tightly and sighed. "Heather, I know that you think that you're better. And for a while there, I kind of thought the same thing. But if you're having thoughts like that? Even on a small scale? I think that maybe you ought to consider seeing someone to help."
It wasn't something that Sam would often suggest. But he was concerned now, for both Heather and the baby, and he wasn't going to sit back and worry himself to death when there was some sort of solution out there. Or a potential one, anyway.
