"Other people don't have demons like Alastair to worry about," Sam pointed out, "they don't have monsters abducting members of their family just to make a point. We've got a lot to worry over, Heather, and to post something like that while we're dealing with everything else? It doesn't help anyone. I know that I've made my fair share of complaints on the boards, but half the time I'm not in a house full of people willing to talk it out with me. I'm on the road. Working. I can't stop and talk. Maybe it works the same way with other people, I don't know. And some of them? Yeah, they are dumb. But my Mom and Dad and your Dad were all there to comfort you and you went off and blew up on the computer at everyone."
He didn't want to lecture her. Though, to be honest, Sam generally did lecture when he had to. He liked to think he got that from his Dad. "I don't think that posting about what you felt was wrong," he decided, "but the way that you reacted, putting yourself down like that? All it did was make everyone stress out more. Maybe if you said that you were having issues with Ruby and needed advice, people would have reacted differently. But you were out there calling yourself an 'awful person' and saying that it was the truth when we all know that it's far from it. And more importantly, when I tried to talk to you about it? You kept shutting me down. So it was like the whole thing was pointless in the first place. I had to argue with you before you would even halfway point out what was wrong."
He leaned forward and rubbed a hand over his face, sighing heavily. "I've told everyone that you didn't mean anything harmful by posting all of that. And I know that it's true. You didn't mean for people to get upset. But they did and I think we both need to take that into consideration because, while I'm worried about you and Ruby? There are bigger things going on right now. I mean, I want you two to stop arguing. I honestly do. But this demon is out there attacking people. The same demon that tortured dozens of people in hell. I don't think blowing up on the internet about beer or Ruby was really the way to go this time around."
