She sighed and nodded. It wasn't something that she was looking forward to having to explain, but it needed to be done. It definitely did after she'd made a whole public mess out of it.
Giving his hand a squeeze as she did so, Heather followed Sam towards the bed and sat down on it, trying not to meet his gaze for a few moments so she didn't have to actually see his reaction right away.
"Okay, um..." Another sigh, and she reached up with her free hand to comb her fingers through her wet hair. "Outbursts. They...happened to me a lot back home, after my Dad was killed. Usually...usually I didn't throw a fit like I did earlier. It would be...more..." A pause. "I would end up doing one of two things. Either I would cut, or I would try to commit suicide. Whichever was more convenient at the time. Here, I really can't do that. I don't want to do that. I mean, it wasn't just what Ruby said. I could've just ignored it or gotten pissed and that's it. But it was sort of like...like the straw that broke the camel's back, you know? That on top of everything else that's going on right now, it just all started to fester. And I didn't have my usual outlet, so...I did that. I posted and went off and...made a complete ass out of myself while pissing off and freaking out a ton of people."
She'd been looking down at her lap while she spoke, but when she'd finished, she peered up at him through her lashes cautiously.
