It had been his girlfriend's suggestion that they start teaching his Christmas present some kind of obedience but Lindsey had yet to start in on it. So when Cathy decided to try her luck, he settled in on the couch with an energy drink and an amused smirk to watch her attempt to teach Cerberus how to sit.
When the knock came at the door, he grunted an affirmative and reluctantantly left the comfortable position he'd finally settled into to do as asked. The can he dropped on the newly uprighted table and reached down to catch the puppy baying at the door. Cerberus bounced out of reach, each squeaky bark punctuated in time with his paws hitting the floor with every bounce.
Finally Lindsey managed to grab hold of his collar and picked him up, the puppy's tail battering his hip as it whipped back and forth. "Shut up," he told Reb before pulling open the door to find the unfamiliar young woman standing there. He frowned slightly. "Can I help you?"
