"Reb. Sit. Sit, Reb. Sit." The still-growing puppy simply wagged his tail at her, nosing forward to reach the treat in her hand. Gently, Cathy pushed him away, instead applying pressure to his backside in the attempt to get the point across. "Sit."
She sighed, though it was lacking any hint of real frustration, too amused to truly care. Quirking an eyebrow, she turned to regard Lindsey. "Maybe you should try. Reb, sit." The dog must have taken the suggestion as a threat, as finally, he complied--and unless it was in her imagination, he looked smug. Cathy grinned, reaching over to ruffle his fur. "Good bo--!"
The pose was broken, treat forgotten with the knock at the door. The puppy took off, bark still less than threatening and only wavering when paws hit linoleum, causing him to skid momentarily out of control. A small end table currently housing a stack of bills, Cathy's keys, and a photo album was taken out en route, though Cerberus himself was unfazed. Obviously, giving an unseen stranger hell ranked higher than reacting to a mess on the canine's list of priorities. Distracted, Cathy stopped on her way to the door to set the table back upright, kneeling to collect the items gone astray. "Can you get that?"
