Ruby had catagoricly not been expecting the text when it came. Dean. Dean Winchester actually inviting her to go drinking with him. Dean? She had thought about it for a while they'd discussed drinking away their problems just for one night but she assumed he'd meant seprately.
Still she wasn't gonna turn down the olive branch when it was offered, and right now they and John of course had more in common than most. She changed into slightly nicer clothes than the jeans and tshirt she'd been slumming around in and made sure her newest very very potent hex bag was attached to her before leaving to go meet him.
Truth was, she was terrified of Alastair absolutely terrified, he always put her in mind of the rack, eight hundred years and the memories hadn't faded. Ruby didn't think she'd even lasted a year let alone what the Winchesters had managed. She was a coward. She'd given in so easily, climbed off the rack and it was the start. There was no angel to pull her out of hell, no devils gate had opened then.
She admired them for what they must have seen.
She spotted Dean at the bar when she finally arrived and made her way over.
"Would be Gentlemanly to buy me one y'know" she told him, sliding onto the next barstool.
