Buffy stopped dead in her tracks as she heard the sound of the air shifting around her. She might have been out of it on an emotional level, but her Slayer senses still picked up on it as Raidon jumped down from the rooftop and landed in front of her. Unfortunately, it was too late by that time.
She was never actually afraid of any of the enemies she'd faced. She'd had concerns as far as how to go about killing them, or what kind of damage they could do at the same time, but fear? It just wasn't there. A Slayer couldn't really afford to be scared. It wasn't an option. Still, as she saw one of the psycho vamps standing right before her, she couldn't help that iciness that ran through her, all the way into her bones.
"I was wondering when one of you would make an appearance," she said, trying to use sarcasm as a front while she tried to figure out what she was going to do.
