It took only a few minutes to shove all of her possessions into her bag, and get out of the hotel she was staying at. This place was safe against some demons, but not against Angels. Only her hex bag and constant relocating had kept her under the radar, but it wasn't enough now. The first thing that came to find me the Lux. Elaine had said, if she needed shelter, she could go there, and she would be safe. It was a neutral zone, nothing could touch her. Maybe Elaine would let her sit there until she could figure things out. Or get the courage to do what she knew she had to do.
If she was any kind of a good person, she would just go back. Smash the glass that held it around her neck, and go back. That way, both Hell and Heaven would have a hard time getting her. But she'd done that once, and had remained human. Another chance, maybe. Anna didn't know if she could do it again.
But people were hurt because of her. This was all her fault, and it wouldn't stop until she did something about. Until she went back, or turned herself over. One way, she died, the other way, she was tortured, the third option, be on the run for all eternity. What good would that do her? What was she supposed to do?
The Fallen Angel didn't stop running until she made it to the Lux, and safely inside, and tucked away into a corner of the bar. Back against the wall, her place face gazed out at the crowed, not really taking in what was going on. Her mind was at battle with itself, between what she knew was right, and what she wanted more than anything. There was no easy way out, no happy ending for this.
She knew that all along. She still couldn't make the choice. But she had to, because otherwise someone would make it for her.
