Jack shrugged ever so slightly, readjusting the lapels of his jacket. Her loss, he supposed. But didn't mean he still wasn't going to have a good time while he was at it.
"And what world would that be?" Jack asked, crossing his arms in front of his chest. "I have no desire to touch. I'm far from stupid and I don't go poking my hands about in things I don't know what they are." Jack paused, wrinkling his nose slightly. "Did that once. Nearly lost a foot instead of the hand but that's utterly beside the point."
He mulled the information over in his head, far from satisfied. But then again, Jack was rarely ever satisfied when it came to understanding things. "Then tell me, Talia," Jack said, turning slightly in her direction. "How much do you understand of the pits? Don't worry about me trying to keep up. There's quite a brain inside this pretty head."
