Remus actually shivered when her hand touched his skin, not because her hand was cold but because her skin and his was nearly the same damn temperature. That had... never happened. Bloody hell, but could the Pits have started working that quickly? He shivered again, wincing against the pain. It felt as if his skin was being stretched, lines working their way out of his face. Skin re-knitting where scars once were.
"I'll be fine," Remus reassured her, though with the shake in his voice, it was far from reassuring. "I was... out. Around. About," he evaded, moving towards the couch and sinking down, holding his pounding head in his hands. "I was out."
