Who: Lindsey McDonald and [Open] What: Taking a break Where: His office When: Afternoon...at least by the clock? Rating/Status: TBD/Incomplete
Lindsey would loathe to admit it, but his bosses brilliant plan of blotting out the sun was having a screwy effect on the firm's CEO after a couple of days. Back in the old day, he had been a night owl when it came to reviewing cases for court the next day and trying to find someway to take Angel out and make it look like an accident, but there had always been sun to mark the passing of time in a day. Now there was just darkness everywhere he looked. And it did bother him.
The door to his office opened quietly and his secretary entered, holding a cup of coffee. Lindsey glanced over his shoulder at her and she froze. "I was just about to set this on your desk, Mr. McDonald," she said softly, glancing at the desk in question, then back at her employer. Lindsey offered her a half hearted smile and extended his hand. "I'll take that, if you don't mind," he replied, friendly to put her at ease. She quickly made her way over and offered him the cup, giving him a nervous smile before turning to head back out.
"Would you leave the door open on your way out? Thanks." The young woman nodded, doing just that as she quickly exited. It was too quiet alone in his office. Lindsey needed some background noise.
