"Didn't say it was a bad thing- 'cept my kids are four and eight." Creegan loved his daughters and he missed them a great deal. Perhaps the man he was now wasn't much of a family person but who he had been- the man before death- had been a family man. He wished he could still be that man.
An eyebrow raise and an incredulous look were what met Shawn's groan and question. "Who?" Creegan couldn't help a laugh, though, at the younger man's thoughts on cops. "The job tends to lead to certain behaviors."
Creegan took his seat beside the other man and already knew what he wanted- beer. Cheap booze was always good booze his his book. "But what? I mean, I have no resources and no one to share the work load with. Have you seen some of the posting on the internet board for this city? This place makes Sodom and Gomorrah look tame by comparison."
