She nodded once, looking up at the house of the woman who owned she. Eve had to wonder what was going through the woman's mind all day. With such a twisted past, was this really going to be the sunny beacon of hope that everyone thought it was? God wasn't the only one who was imagining all kinds of bad ends to this.
"I'm still waiting for someone to kick up a fuss about why she gets to own it." someone, somewhere, would think they were more powerful, and want to take control of it. They'd want to be the one to have ownership, and then maybe make money off of it. The pits weren't magic, she couldn't sense any, at least. Earth had to have some very strange chemicals. "Cure for cancer goes to the highest bidder." she said, with a wrinkle of her nose.
"For now." she pointed out, though it half sounded more like a question. People might be lining up to get a cure, but they wouldn't live forever. Sooner or later they'd pass over, they had to. Or...at least most of them had to. Not to mention, if things got out of hand, people would be passing over a lot faster.
Eve looked back to the face of God, studying Her features, She was more interesting than the mucky looking substance taking up perfectly good tanning space. "It's the kids in the line up that get to me." she said with a shake of her head. Her weakness was no doubt, kids. Maybe it came with being a mom. "I want this to work out for them."
