"I'll believe it when I see it," he teased. He figured that they both could learn a lot from his Mom's cooking. Maybe if she had been around longer than a few months, Sam could have learned more from her. The thought alone dampened his spirits a little. Almost instantly. He tried to push it from his mind. Sam certainly didn't want to let anything ruin his night out with Heather.
He was glad that she was eating. Sam knew that she hadn't been doing all that well on food the day that he went into the pit. It was good to see that things had changed from there. "Almost fit in one, huh?" He shrugged, almost as though he were actually considering it. "Wouldn't be bad for the weapon space, at least."
