"I'll have to throw down and bring out my apron and oven mitts, but I think I could take her," Heather said with a laugh. Of course, she didn't believe it for even an instant. No one matched Mary's cooking. Martha Stewart had nothing on her. But for the sake of joking around and having fun, she would definitely play along.
Heather went about eating some more of the meal quite contentedly, enjoying the feeling of a slowly filling stomach for the first time in a few days. It wasn't good to go so long without eating something substantial, but she was doing a good job making up for it, she felt. And while she was eating, she hadn't noticed as Sam looked up towards the rafters.
At his question, however, she looked up and gave a slightly mischievous grin. "We could buy a tank. You could almost fit in one of those as long as we leave the top open."
