He laughed at that. "Right, right, right. Of course. My mistake. That's what I meant to say all along." He shook his head in amusement and reached for his glass. "Hey, maybe you ought to show my Mom a thing or two in the kitchen sometime too. You'd just put her to shame."
The candle was doing pretty well to provide a little extra warmth between them. But still, it wouldn't be enough when they finished up here. Not nearly. He squinted up toward the rafters above. It was dark up there, but he could make out the shapes that he'd set up earlier.
