She made a quiet whining sound, but she was grinning at the same time. She knew it would be worth the wait, but the wait was the hard part. She was a very impatient person, after all.
"Alright, alright," she muttered with a dramatic sigh as she exited the house and made her way toward the truck. It was a little chilly out, but she knew he hadn't told her to bundle up just because of the trip from the house to the truck waiting outside. Her curiosity was piqued to the extreme by now, and that only increased when she saw the picnic basket waiting inside the vehicle.
As she climbed inside the truck with his help, she gave him a smirk. "You're such a tease," she said, leaning over to kiss him soundly one more time before he moved to get in his own side. As soon as he was in the driver's seat, yet another kiss was waiting for him. She couldn't help it. After spending two days with his crazy self, she'd missed him just being himself more than he could ever know.
